Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support audit preparation by maintaining organized financial documentation
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and maintain subsidiary ledgers
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual financial performance to budgets
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or academic experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and accounting cycles
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
