In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in core accounting functions, working closely with our senior finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance. We pride ourselves on fostering talent and are looking for someone eager to learn and grow with us.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor data, and ensure timely payments while managing incoming customer payments and reconciling accounts.
- Month-End Close Support: Help prepare and post journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and assist in the month-end close process to ensure financial statements are accurate.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update financial records in the company’s accounting software (QuickBooks and/or SAP) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Compile data for financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements under the guidance of senior staff.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including preparing audit schedules and supporting external audits.
- Administrative Support: Organize and file financial documents, assist with tax preparations, and support other accounting-related ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within 6 months).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, functions). Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is a plus but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data sets to identify discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members and external partners.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
