Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for small to mid-sized businesses
- Support audit procedures by gathering documentation and maintaining compliance records
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and manage vendor relationships
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data entry, reporting, and variance analysis
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Adhere to GAAP standards and maintain strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or academic experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication skills for client interactions
- QuickBooks certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
