Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and maintain accurate financial records
- Support tax preparation activities and documentation for individual and corporate clients
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial functions)
- Familiarity with accounting software platforms (QuickBooks experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy and problem-solving skills
