Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the accounting team in preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and verify the accuracy of the General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify documentation, and ensure timely payments while monitoring accounts receivable aging.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external audits.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain organized filing systems and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA/CMA certification).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
