Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial statements and reports for client review
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Support tax preparation activities including data organization and documentation
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for efficient record-keeping
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks/other accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Fresno-based candidates preferred; local knowledge a plus
