Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis under supervision
- Process accounts payable/receivable and maintain accurate general ledgers
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for transaction processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting
- Document accounting processes and implement workflow improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks/Sage accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- CPA candidate preferred or actively pursuing certification
