Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entry processing
- Support accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Contribute to audit preparation and documentation processes
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for transaction recording
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
- Collaborate with senior accountants on client deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (graduating by June 2024)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or academic experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- QuickBooks certification preferred
