Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing and reconciliation
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Conduct financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and state regulations
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Document accounting processes and implement internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of accounting experience (internships acceptable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of GAAP and Illinois tax regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proactive problem-solving approach and eagerness to learn
- Valid Illinois driver's license (client site visits required)
