Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with monthly and quarterly closing processes including journal entries and account analysis
- Process payroll transactions and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Support annual audits by gathering documentation and preparing schedules for external auditors
- Contribute to financial reporting by compiling data for management reports and statements
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) to maintain digital financial records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and basic accounting software knowledge
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP) and double-entry bookkeeping
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate financial records
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for reconciling accounts
