Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and external reporting
- Support accounts payable/receivable processes and transaction verification
- Conduct data entry in accounting software with 99.9% accuracy
- Participate in audits by providing documentation and supporting schedules
- Monitor financial transactions for compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives in the accounting department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) a plus but not required
