Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor relationships
- Process payroll and maintain employee expense records using QuickBooks Online
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads
- Collaborate with tax preparation team during quarterly reporting cycles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required)
- 0-2 years of relevant internship or part-time accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting cycles
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of tax preparation software a plus
