Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable processing
- Prepare financial statements and reports under senior supervision
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks) for data entry and analysis
- Conduct routine audits of financial records for accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on financial projects
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach and eagerness to learn
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
- Valid Louisiana driver's license (for occasional client meetings)
