Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Assist in monthly/quarterly closing processes including journal entries and variance analysis
- Support audit preparation by compiling documentation and responding to inquiries
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite) for transaction processing and reporting
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for financial controls and efficiency
- Prepare financial statements and management reports under supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (recent graduates welcome)
- 0-2 years of accounting experience or internship in financial services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
