Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Assist in month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Process payroll transactions and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Support tax preparation activities and documentation for individual and business clients
- Implement and improve internal accounting controls and procedures
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/Excel) for data entry and analysis
- Respond to client inquiries regarding financial transactions and account status
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Proactive problem-solving approach with analytical mindset
- Willingness to pursue CPA certification (company support provided)
