Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable/receivable and maintain general ledgers using QuickBooks and Excel
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Assist with tax preparation, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Support audits by organizing financial documentation and responding to inquiries
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows
- Contribute to process improvements using automation tools like Bill.com
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years experience)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proactive problem-solving approach with analytical mindset
- Relevant internship or academic project experience preferred
