Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows)
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and maintain vendor records
- Support tax preparation and compliance for individual and business clients
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel for data management
- Collaborate with senior accountants on audit engagements and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles and tax regulations
