Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Process payroll transactions and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Support tax documentation preparation and audit requests
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special financial projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel with strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with integrity
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and adapt
- Valid New Mexico driver's license for occasional client meetings
