Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks)
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Support accounts payable/receivable processing and bank reconciliations
- Contribute to audit preparation and documentation requests
- Monitor financial transactions for compliance with UK GAAP regulations
- Assist budgeting and forecasting processes for SME clients
- Collaborate with senior accountants on tax preparation and filing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (2:1 or higher)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Basic understanding of UK tax regulations (HMRC)
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach
- QuickBooks/Xero certification preferred
