Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and regulatory compliance reports for California operations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems and processes
- Lead internal audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX requirements
- Support strategic initiatives including budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records using NetSuite and QuickBooks platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
- Experience supporting multi-state operations with California-specific tax knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
