Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows) with variance reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations while maintaining internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead reconciliation processes for bank accounts, credit cards, and investment portfolios
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite) and automation tools
- Support external audits and tax preparation with organized documentation
- Mentor junior accountants and provide training on financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
