Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts daily
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll entries
- Generate financial statements and budget reports for clients
- Utilize QuickBooks/Xero for data entry and transaction tracking
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits
- Communicate financial insights to clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of NM tax regulations and compliance
- Flexible schedule availability for client meetings
