As an Accountant at Horizon, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. We are looking for someone who is proactive, accurate, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and monthly financial reports.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Process payroll entries and manage payroll tax filings.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and budget preparation support.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
