Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for small to medium businesses using QuickBooks and Xero
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation for Louisiana state requirements
- Implement internal controls and process improvements for financial operations
- Collaborate with CPAs during audit cycles and financial reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public or private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Louisiana CPA license preferred or actively pursuing certification
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Louisiana tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
