Responsibilities
- Perform daily financial transaction recording, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Conduct routine audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) to manage ledger entries.
- Generate financial reports for management review to support decision-making processes.
- Maintain organized and secure financial records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or EA) is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and federal/state compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
