Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile daily financial transactions for assigned client accounts
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and variance reports
- Process accounts payable/receivable with precision and timeliness
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal tax regulations
- Support audit processes by providing documentation and explanations
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial data analysis
- Communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and DC tax regulations
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills
- Valid DC business license or CPA certification preferred
