Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of borrower creditworthiness by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports.
- Prepare and maintain accurate credit memos, risk assessments, and loan portfolio reports.
- Monitor existing accounts for delinquency trends and proactively recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to approve or decline credit requests based on established credit policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal banking regulations and internal controls.
- Utilize financial software and advanced Excel functions to generate variance analysis and forecasting models.
- Communicate findings and credit decisions effectively to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, loan underwriting, or a similar financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Experience with financial analysis platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
