Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and collateral documents to assess borrower risk profiles
- Undergo intensive paid training in credit scoring models, loan structuring, and regulatory compliance (FCRA, ECOA)
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for senior review
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure commercial and industrial loans
- Monitor existing portfolios for early risk detection and recommend mitigation strategies
- Master financial modeling techniques including cash flow analysis and debt service coverage calculations
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance departmental efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong aptitude for quantitative analysis and financial mathematics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
