Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (FIRREA, Basel III) and implement compliance protocols
- Present credit recommendations to senior management with clear rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement analysis, and risk metrics
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Professional certification (CFA, FRM) preferred
