In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of our clients, managing risk exposure, and ensuring our financial health remains robust in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis on new and existing customers, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to assess risk levels and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Monitor account performance and proactively identify delinquencies or risks requiring intervention.
- Collaborate with the sales and collections teams to provide strategic insights on customer credit decisions.
- Prepare and present monthly credit risk reports to senior management.
- Update and maintain the internal credit risk management database with accurate data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or financial underwriting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with credit scoring models (e.g., FICO, Moody’s, Dunn & Bradstreet) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders.
