Responsibilities
- Analyze detailed financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients.
- Assess risk factors and recommend approval, denial, or counter-offer decisions based on established underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and summaries for loan committees and senior management review.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to provide accurate credit insights during the lending process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s credit management system (CRM).
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators affecting the credit market.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in finance, banking, or a related industry is a plus, but we value aptitude and attitude over experience.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and draw logical conclusions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data entry, reporting, and documentation.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and CRM software is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
