Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applications, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness and risk profiles to determine appropriate credit limits and terms.
- Monitor existing accounts for early signs of credit deterioration or delinquency.
- Prepare and maintain detailed credit memos, reports, and recommendation matrices for loan committees.
- Collaborate with underwriting, sales, and relationship management teams to ensure a seamless loan process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Familiarity with credit scoring models and financial ratio analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
