Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to determine the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan officers and management review.
- Monitor the performance of existing credit portfolios and identify potential delinquencies early.
- Assist in the development and refinement of credit policies and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure accurate and timely loan approvals.
- Maintain accurate records in our loan origination systems and ensure full compliance with banking regulations.
- Conduct research on industry trends and economic indicators to inform lending decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Experience with credit scoring software and loan origination systems (e.g., FICO, SAS, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders.
