Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis and underwriting of loan applications, including commercial and consumer loans.
- Review credit reports, financial statements, and tax returns to evaluate risk factors.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approval or denial.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of delinquency or default.
- Collaborate with loan officers and relationship managers to support client needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all banking regulations, policies, and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the loan management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of credit scoring models, lending regulations, and banking standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail.
- Certification such as CBA (Certified Bank Auditor) or CFA is a plus.
