Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of borrower financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to determine credit risk and repayment capacity.
- Prepare detailed credit memos, risk assessments, and presentations for loan committees and senior management approval.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of financial distress or default.
- Develop and maintain internal credit models and risk assessment methodologies to improve underwriting efficiency.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loans that align with client needs and bank credit policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, Basel III standards, and internal credit policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial underwriting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial modeling) and financial analysis software.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data clearly to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with banking regulations (e.g., OCC, FDIC) and risk management principles is highly preferred.
