Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approval committees.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of delinquency.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Underwriting teams to streamline the lending process.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state banking regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of professional experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and financial modeling software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
