Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis on loan applications, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow reports.
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients to determine appropriate lending limits and risk exposure.
- Monitor portfolio performance by regularly reviewing account statuses and identifying delinquencies or early warning signs.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and presentations for the Credit Committee and senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and underwriting, to streamline the approval process.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Utilize financial modeling tools to project future financial health and repayment capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or risk assessment within the banking or lending sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and macros) and financial reporting software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with lending regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
