Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine creditworthiness.
- Assess and monitor client financial health, identifying trends and potential risks that may affect repayment.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for credit committees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with loan officers and relationship managers to provide strategic financial advice.
- Monitor economic indicators and market conditions that may impact lending decisions.
- Ensure strict adherence to banking regulations and internal risk management protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of local and federal banking regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, FDIC requirements).
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
