Responsibilities
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to determine credit risk.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and internal credit policies.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approvals or rejections.
- Monitor existing accounts for signs of financial distress and proactively manage delinquency.
- Conduct regular market research to stay informed on economic trends affecting credit portfolios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or commercial lending.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and MS Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards (e.g., CRA, Basel III).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
