Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments using advanced Excel modeling and financial software
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit facilities aligned with risk appetite
- Stay current on industry regulations and economic indicators affecting credit decisions
- Present findings to credit committees with clear data-driven recommendations
- Develop automated reporting tools to streamline credit analysis workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with proven risk assessment skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial modeling)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, credit risk frameworks, and lending regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Proven ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in flexible environments
