Responsibilities
- Analyze Credit Applications: Review and evaluate loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine creditworthiness and risk levels.
- Risk Assessment: Develop credit risk models and provide recommendations to the underwriting team regarding loan approvals, terms, and conditions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed credit memos and reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor Portfolios: Regularly review existing client accounts to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure all credit analysis activities comply with federal and state regulations.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients to clarify financial information and resolve credit-related inquiries.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of lending regulations and credit scoring models (e.g., FICO, VantageScore).
