Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memorandums and risk assessments for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and recommend mitigations for deteriorating credits
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (Regulation B, Fair Credit Reporting Act)
- Develop and maintain accurate credit risk models and scoring systems
- Present credit recommendations clearly to senior leadership stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and credit risk assessment methodologies
- Credit certification (CRCM or equivalent) preferred
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and market conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
