Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments on commercial and consumer loan applications
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and collateral valuation to determine creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommend approval/rejection terms
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and early risk detection
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting credit policies
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
- Deep understanding of credit risk frameworks and underwriting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- FCRA/FDIC compliance knowledge preferred
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
