Responsibilities
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Monitor and interpret changes in compliance laws, regulations, and standards to ensure the organization remains in full compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures tailored to the Detroit market and industry standards.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations or suspicious activities, preparing detailed reports for senior management.
- Train and educate employees on compliance standards, ethical guidelines, and reporting procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant compliance laws, including SOX, FINRA, or state-specific regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
