Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor daily compliance activities to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in existing procedures.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies and internal governance committees.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate staff on policies and regulations.
- Investigate internal breaches and recommend corrective measures to mitigate future risks.
- Stay abreast of industry changes and regulatory updates to ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management.
- Strong working knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA, or state banking laws).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification such as CFE, CRCM, or JD is a significant plus.
