Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret changes in federal and state regulatory laws to ensure organizational compliance.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in operational processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Investigate and report on any potential violations of company policy or law, ensuring timely resolution.
- Prepare detailed, accurate reports for the Board of Directors and external regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during inspections and examinations.
- Provide ongoing training to staff regarding compliance standards and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, auditing, or risk management role.
- Certification such as CFE, CPA, CFA, or CRCM is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations (e.g., OCC, FDIC) or industry-specific compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
