Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Audits: Perform regular internal audits to assess compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal policies.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement effective controls to minimize exposure and ensure business continuity.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of changes in regulations (e.g., GLBA, SOX, FINRA) and communicate necessary updates to stakeholders.
- Policy Development: Develop, update, and distribute compliance policies and procedures to ensure clarity and adherence.
- Training & Education: Deliver training sessions to employees on compliance topics and ethical standards to foster a culture of compliance.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for the executive team and regulatory bodies regarding audit findings and corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs.
- Licensure: Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or similar certification is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing documents, contracts, and regulatory filings.
