Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
- Develop, update, and communicate compliance policies and training materials to staff.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to internal stakeholders and external governing bodies.
- Collaborate with legal and senior management to ensure alignment with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing within the financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., FINRA, SEC, HIPAA, or state-specific regulations).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification such as CFE, CPA, or CRCM is a plus.
