Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret changing federal, state, and local laws and regulations relevant to our industry to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in current policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and update comprehensive compliance policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members on compliance requirements, ethical standards, and reporting procedures.
- Investigate potential violations and coordinate with legal counsel to resolve disputes or disciplinary actions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for executive leadership regarding compliance status and remediation efforts.
- Manage the submission of necessary regulatory filings and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or specific state regulations).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCP, CCEP, CFE) is a significant plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
