Responsibilities
- Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape to ensure our organization remains compliant with federal and state laws.
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop, implement, and update internal policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations or internal control breaches promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate successful inspections.
- Deliver regular training sessions to staff on compliance protocols, ethics, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FINRA, state banking regulations).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex regulations into actionable business insights.
- Certification such as CRCM, CFE, or JD is highly preferred.
